We’re opening up our workplace at Metal Liverpool to welcome more fellow travellers. Our building is Edge Hill Station’s former Engine Room and Boiler House, and contains our Liverpool office, a dance/rehearsal studio, The Welcoming kitchen area, a ground-floor performance room, and a pair of ad-hoc artist studios. Along with these spaces comes our myriad resident artists, plus people here on placement, performance/movement practitioners, and other desk-workers. On a typical working day, you may see several, none, or all of these.
WiFi access at Metal: Edge Hill Station has been equipped with free-to-use bespoke broadband, supplied by a regionally-based internet specialist.
Area: Located in the neighbourhood of Picton – and easy to get to thanks to Northern Rail train services, bus routes, pedestrian access, bicycle lanes, and hire-scooter placement.
• Events, meals and other activities tend to take place on evenings and at weekends, and you’ll be among the first to know about them. If workshops, cinema, listening experiences and community gardening are your kind of thing, then you’ll definitely feel at home at Metal.
• Hire rates are reasonable and affordable, charged at a competitive daily rate (weekly and monthly quotes available on request). You’ll also have first dibs on hiring out our Engine Room and Welcoming spaces, should you make plans for a (dry) social gathering.
• We are up one flight of stairs, so unfortunately for now our 2 available Hot Desks are not accessible for wheelchair users.
If you’re interested in talking to us about taking up a workspace, please email: edgehill@metalculture.com and use ‘Hot Desks’ in the subject line.
Metal is an equal opportunities arts organisation aiming to not only reduce our carbon emissions but also to seek out and define a more diverse cultural landscape. As such, priority will be given to under-represented groups who live or work in L7, L8, or L15.
Email us to arrange a visit – and use ‘Hot Desks’ in the subject.
