Finding the new in the familiar

    October 2, 2015 by

Subtle Kraft Co are in the building!…And what a building to be in!

As our second day at Metal is coming to a close my mind is still processing, my body almost involuntarily revisiting miniature versions of dances from the day…

Trusting yourself as a choreographer, trusting yourself as a dancer…

I trust my dancers. Do I trust myself?

I do trust where the piece comes from – the impetus that made me want to ‘go there’…

We are revisiting, but with a variety of new viewfinders. The luxury of a development period gives time for me to explore new avenues, that perhaps I’d never seen before. I confess, some of the avenues we are venturing into I had ‘noticed’ before, but had hastily swerved away from them…

Somewhere in the distance, ticking clock.

Swerving can be necessary at times, but as I’m discovering, sometimes it pays to loop around again and take that detour into the unknown…

Moments: time lapses, snippets, memories, pause. Emotion pause. Traces of experience and what’s left afterwards…

    A few in pictures:
