It is open to artists of any discipline, including visual arts, performance, social practice, writing, sound, digital, or interdisciplinary work, with a track record of engaging with themes such as social justice or climate justice.

Studio 459 Artist Residency Opportunity

We’re excited to announce a second opportunity with partners @Studio459Tomar at their co-living artist residency programme, set in the beautiful, forested hills of Tomar in central Portugal. This residency is a chance for 3 artists to spend two weeks at the studios from the 10th – 24th September 2025 this year to undertake research, experiment, slow down, immerse yourself in nature, explore a new culture, and hopefully be inspired.
We would love to hear from artists who have a practice in socially engaged arts. The theme of this residency is Rest and Reconnection…allowing time for socially engaged artists to re-engage with their own practice
There are 3 residency places available for 10th – 24th September 2025.
Closing date for applying is Thursday 10th July 5pm.

Where We Are… Creative Facilitator Callout

Are you looking to lead on a project that is special and powerful for Peterborough and its young people?
Metal and The Kite Trust are looking for a lead facilitator to deliver Where We Are… a UK wide youth-led programme for those aged 16–24, which places them at the heart of shaping arts and culture in their local communities, empowering young people through the co-creation of arts and culture. These co-produced projects will respond to something in their local area that young people are passionate about and as such the direction these projects will take will be driven by the young people.
If you’ve got experience of working with young people, in particular with LGBTQ+ and / or disabled and neurodivergent communities, then checkout our facilitator call out. With a fee of £6,875 and a separate materials budget, it’s an opportunity not to miss out on.
Closing date: Monday 30 June 2025
