On Saturday 14th September Metal opened their doors to people from the local community and visitors interested in arts, heritage, local and railway history as part of Heritage Open Days. One highlight of the day was the unveiling of our new community garden gate, designed by Robyn Woolston and pupils from local primary schools, as a memorial project to the Blitz attack of November 1940 on Durning Road. People could visit Metal’s community garden, as well as the chance to explore inside the buildings and meet the artists currently in residence in our studios.
