DESCRIPTION:Weekly on Fridays\, 1pm – 3.30pm\n3 x weeks for £70 (price includes Lino block\, printing inks and paper)\nLed by fine art printmaker and tutor David Lintine\nDiscover and explore how to make original fine prints in Linocut\, Monotype and Woodcut\, using traditional ‘printing by hand’ methods. SUMMARY:Metal hosts: Southend Art Club
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to be hosting the summer programme of Southend Art Club from our Metal Art School at Chalkwell Hall. \nSince 1929\, the Southend Art Club has been an established community of artists known for creating work in varying styles and mediums. New members are encouraged to join and inject fresh and exciting ideas! The gardens at Chalkwell Park are also an excellent venue for outdoor painting in good weather. \nThere are two exhibitions yearly for members to showcase their work and to put them up for sale. The programme also consists of visiting artists for demonstrations\, which everyone is encouraged to try out\, and there is a winter lunch and a summer day out painting. \nThe summer programme starts from the Metal Art School in Chalkwell Park in April and the winter programme is being held at the Beecroft Art Gallery from October to March. See dates for the summer programme below. All sessions are 1-4pm. \n8 April: Mixed media with Gina Southgate (with jazz player) \n22 April​: Mixed media with Chelsea St. Pierre \n13 May: Mixed media with Judy Logan \n24 June: Acrylic with Marie Antoniou \n8 July​​: Social Paint Out \n22 July​: Abstract portrait with Charlotte Archer \n12 August​: Mixed media with Andy Downes \n9 September​: Mixed media with Nicola Osborne \n23 September​: Pencil/pen with Darren Jones – pencil/pen \nThe Annual membership fee is £30. SUMMARY:Monday (pm) 6 trips to Hyde Hall
DESCRIPTION:These 6 trips have been funded by RHS Hyde Hall and include free transport from Chalkwell Park to Hyde Hall Gardens. Participants will spend an hour walking in a different part of the gardens and then experiment using different art techniques before returning to Chalkwell Park.
