DESCRIPTION:This is a 12-week group that we have devised especially for men who have lived with domestic violence or who are asking for help dealing with past trauma. This will be a man only space run by a male facilitator and male volunteers. DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to be hosting the summer programme of Southend Art Club from our Metal Art School at Chalkwell Hall. \nSince 1929\, the Southend Art Club has been an established community of artists known for creating work in varying styles and mediums. New members are encouraged to join and inject fresh and exciting ideas! The gardens at Chalkwell Park are also an excellent venue for outdoor painting in good weather. \nThere are two exhibitions yearly for members to showcase their work and to put them up for sale. The programme also consists of visiting artists for demonstrations\, which everyone is encouraged to try out\, and there is a winter lunch and a summer day out painting. \nThe summer programme starts from the Metal Art School in Chalkwell Park in April and the winter programme is being held at the Beecroft Art Gallery from October to March. See dates for the summer programme below. There will also be a deaf interpreter present throughout to translate. DESCRIPTION:This 11-week course involves using different art materials; paint\, felt tips\, colouring pencils\, collage materials\, digital art to create art for personal wellbeing. No experience required. All art materials and refreshments will be provided free of charge. \nWe have limited numbers of iPads we can also lend out to those who do not have the technology to access Zoom. We now can have spaces for up to 8 participants to come into the art room at Chalkwell Park and 4 spaces to join us via Zoom. If a group is full\, we can put you on the waiting list for January 2023.
