SUMMARY:Write Now: Writing applications doesn’t have to be solo
DESCRIPTION:   \n\nThursday 27th March 12pm-3pm (RBI Arts Centre\, Queensgate) \nThursday 3rd April 4pm – 7pm (online)\n\nWho says writing funding applications has to be a lonely task? Welcome to Write Now a drop in space where artists and creatives can work on and tackle their Arts Council Funding applications\, residency\, or commission proposals in a friendly and supportive space. Whether you’re stuck on a tricky question\, need to brainstorm a sentence or two\, or just want other folks to hold you accountable\, artists Kate Marsh and Yvonne Hercules and a member of the Metal team will be there to offer advice and support.   \nThis informal hangout might just give you the boost you need to hit that submit button\, knowing you’re not in this alone. Let’s try and make the process easier\, more collaborative\, and tastier with refreshments and snacks on hand!   \nWrite Now has come out of conversations from artist John Clark’s Hiding in Plain Sight sessions\, and our Open Advice sessions.   \nAbout Yvonne Hercules   \nYvonne Hercules is a singer-songwriter/artist & performer based in Cambridge UK. Her music has received nods from publications including Clash Magazine\, The Line of Best Fit\, Afropunk\, and others and she has received support from PRS Foundation\, Arts Council England towards her work.  \nInspired by Folk\, Blues\, Rock & Soul\, her songs are a culmination of these genres underpinned by honest\, thought-provoking lyrics. She also draws on inspiration from visual mediums outside of music including art & film\, with visual concepts often coinciding alongside her songs.  \nAbout Kate Marsh   \nKate Marsh is a disabled / crip artist researcher. Assistant professor at C-Dare (centre for dance research at Coventry University). Kate’s practice – research is focused on nurturing spaces for disabled and crip artists to develop and realise their ideas and practice.
