Essex Writers House 2023 – Script Read Through the City That Walks

Are you a poet looking to level up your craft and connect with incredible creatives?

Imagine performing at places like the Southbank Centre, rocking festivals, receiving free mentorship, AND being professionally published. Sounds too good to be true? It’s not!

Metal Southend and Estuary Festival are joining forces with the Southbank Centre  for a special 75th-anniversary edition of the New Poets Collective. This amazing programme supports emerging talent through mentorship, retreats, and workshops (both online and in-person) at the Southbank Centre.

This unique edition also ties into Poets at Every Port, an incredible initiative by the National Poetry Library that’s taking a mobile poetry library on tour!

Ready to apply? Make sure you meet these criteria:

    • Must be 22 years of age or older.
    • Must reside in the UK.
    • Must not yet be published with a professional publisher.
