    Projects Planet B

    Planet B

    June 5, 2017 by

Metal worked in partnership with Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) to reimagine the city’s annual Green Festival. In 2017, it took on a new life as ‘Planet B’. Following a national call-out, Metal curated a programme of 10 new artist commissions which were showcased over the two-week festival. Each of the proposals worked directly with local communities to explore the themes of Resilience (strategies for coping with change); Relinquishment (changing beliefs and behaviours); and Restoration (rediscovering approaches to  community productivity). The resulting artworks, presented across the whole city took the form of outdoor performances, public debates, pop-up installations and exhibitions, projections, bus tours and film screenings.  Watch the video footage here.

Planet B asked: What needs to happen for people to understand the issues, become more resilient together and take positive actions?
