    Projects Planet B

    Planet B

    June 5, 2017 by

Peterborough is home to one of the longest running and largest Green Festivals in the UK, and in 2017 it took on a new life as ‘Planet B’.

Planet B was a two-week programme of events, performances, film screenings, workshops, commissioned artworks, and a conference – all around encouraging discussion and debate on sustainability.

The environmental charity PECT, worked alongside arts organisation Metal and The Green Backyard and with funding from Arts Council England, ran Planet B from Saturday 29th July through to Saturday 12th August 2017.

The environment is a huge subject that can often feel hard to get to grips with, but Planet B is asked: ‘What needs to happen for people to understand the issues, become more resilient together and take positive actions?’

Looking at the key themes of how communities can become more adaptable, what lifestyles and habits we need to change, and how we can learn from the past, Planet B included an environmental conference, film screening, debates, theatre and much more. Watch our highlights film to see snippets of many of the events.
