Are you an artist / creative looking to network, share your latest projects, or simply connect with like-minded individuals? Come along to our next Get a Room Social at Metal Peterborough – space for the creative community to come together, spark new ideas, and collaborate.  

In our pop-up Dream Space in Queensgate, join artist Hana Sayeed @MalikaSpeaks to explore The Exhale. designed as a gentle invitation to slow down, rest, and simply be. 

Inspired by Erich Fromm’s The Art of Being, The Exhale offers a space for artists and creatives to step away from doing, and return to being. This gathering provides time to rest, reconnect, and reflect on what it means to exist outside the pressure of productivity.  

Together, we’ll create a collective exhale, a shared act of self-nourishment and renewal. 

The evening will transform Metal’s Dream Space into a calm, sensory environment filled with soft lighting, slow instrumental soundscapes, and the subtle scent of essential oils. 

What to expect: 

• The Tea Corner – A choice of herbal teas, each with its own properties and reflective prompts, offering warmth and grounding. 

• The Soundscape Space – A stillness zone with guided meditation and gentle breathing exercises through headphones. 

• The Reflection Table – Creative prompts and provocations to explore the question: What would life look like if we were allowed to just be?

This event is part of Metal’s Dream Space, which will breathe new life into an empty shop unit in the corner of Queensgate, transforming it into a vibrant hub for reading, reflection, dreaming for the future and creative exchange in the heart of Peterborough.  At the centre of Dream Space is our Pop-Up Reading Room – a place where ideas are cooked up, books are shared, and conversations spark. Alongside this, we’re offering a packed programme of events and workshops and the opportunity to co-design a new pop-up reading room structure to live on beyond the project.
