Scared of Shakespeare?
Hated it at school?
Or perhaps you like Shakespeare but want to learn to love it?
Good news!
Coming to Metal on Thursday 20 July is a one off, 3 hour Shakespearean workshop with Southend based, professional actor and playwright, Anne Odeke. Anne is currently performing at The Globe in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.
Having been at The Globe 5 times and worked for The RSC, Anne knows a thing or two about how best to approach Shakespearean text in a way that is fun and accessible for all.
In this workshop we’ll be looking at language, characters, performance and we’ll learn a bit about the main man himself.
They’ll be an invitation to perform at the end of the session – but know, there is absolutely no pressure to do so. This is about inspiring people to see and read more Shakespeare. The bar will be open too – so let’s have a coffee or a glass of something stronger and find out together why so many folks go bonkers for the Bard.
With only 20 tickets available, grab them whilst you can.
