Come and create your own tiny “museum exhibits” that explore identity, storytelling, myths and legends of the city, or perhaps a vision of Peterborough’s future.
Working with Fi Cifaldi, folks will decorate and display objects (real or symbolic), which can be made through air dry clay, drawing, painting, mixed media, collage and with various other crafting supplies or found objects.
In groups, we will make little plaques for our ‘artefacts’ which will include information about where the objects may have been found, who the artist is, a story of how the object came into being, where in Peterborough it’ll be displayed next etc. Over the course of the day, we will display our mini museums for people to explore and learn from what one another have shared.
This taster workshop is part of Where We Are… Peterborough a UK wide youth-led project with the British Museum. This is a chance to find out about the project, and how to get involved in creating something together that is special and powerful for the city and your community.
Snacks included!
