I joined Metal in February 2026 and I am a curator, researcher and writer, born and raised in Basildon, Essex. I have spent much of my career living and working in London and the south-east of England, though most recently I have been based in Toronto, Canada, where I worked with various arts organisations and institutions across North America. Before making the move to the other side of the Atlantic I was director of the Old Waterworks in Southend, so it’s great to be back in Essex in this new capacity. I have a PhD from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a particular research interest of mine is around artists’ responses to nuclear culture. I also love to read sci-fi as well as topics on ecology, the environment, history and archaeology.
