Charlotte Hamilton is a multidisciplinary artist and founder of creative studio Sugar Storm Studio, which is designed to empower the wild, the weird and the rebels through alternative fashion, creative workshops and tarot. She is passionate about the openness of the art industry, community involvement and building supportive networks through workshops and skill sharing. Her work celebrates creative expression and development, taking inspiration from alternative culture, music and fashion and encouraging people to find their unique voice and style and express it with pride.
During her residency Charlotte will be working to develop a programme of creative empowerment workshops/events and exploring community and nurturing support for young adults. These will aim to deal with the changing landscape of the world, issues such as self-expression, identity and belonging in the transitional period of teenager to adult by promoting the benefit of DIY, art and creative thinking for wellbeing and mental health.
