George Morgan is an Essex based video artist and writer-producer who has been commissioned by RADA, BBC Arts, Screensouth and Arts Council England. George was recently selected for the BFI NETWORK South East producers programme in addition to being invited as one of seven writers to take part in the Mercury Theatre playwright programme, led by Kenny Emson.
George gravitates towards stories that unapologetically explore the intersectionality of the Black British experience through historical and contemporary narratives. The growing exploration of his ancestral roots uncover an influx of hidden stories, people and places that will inevitably bring previous empires and current institutions into a dramatic form with an investigative exploration at the heart of it.
