    Projects New Green Book

    New Green Book

    April 15, 2026 by

We’re working in partnership with the Design Museum and UP Projects to create a new environmental tool for creative people and organisations working in exhibition making and artistic production.

We want to inspire organisations, artists and freelance creative professionals/practitioners to take action and embed more sustainable approaches into their work, supporting a sector-wide shift towards environmental responsibility.

As leaders of the Shift network, Liverpool City Region’s environmental sustainability network for cultural organisations, we’re joining forces with various partners over the next six months to imagine what a new tool that drives real change and reduces our collective environmental impact across the cultural sector could be.

    That’s where you come in.

    Register your interest
We’re keen to hear from artists and creatives with an interest in environmental practices, particularly those located in the North. We’re especially interested in connecting with anyone who may feel marginalised or underrepresented within current approaches to climate action in the cultural sector.

We know that there is no climate justice without social justice, so we want to forefront the individuals and organisations that are working across environmental sustainability and creativity. We want to make sure your voices are heard and considered within any approach to reducing our carbon impacts as a sector.

If you’re interested in learning more about this project or getting involved, please fill in the interest form here.

You can also get in touch by emailing Jenny, our Director of Metal Liverpool, jenny@metalculture.com if you’d like more information.

The New Green Book is a partnership project between the Design Museum, Metal and UP Projects, and is funded by Arts Council England.
