Join Liverpool based theatre maker and artist Dora Colquhoun for a participatory event discussing the cost of living crisis. The conversation will be organised in the long table format, created by performance artist Lois Weaver, which aims to make sure everyone who joins is able to be heard and can participate when they want to.
What will happen?
A simple format of a table 12 chairs and the subject of the cost of living will be up for discussion. The aim of the format is to enable discussion where no one is the ‘expert’ it is a non hierarchical space. Everyone in the room has the power to shift the direction of conversation, to mediate moments of tension and to make space for voices less easily heard.
If the idea of participating in this event terrifies you do not worry, you can be a ‘spectator’ and witness the discussion sitting outside the main table. There will be an opportunity to join in if you feel inclined. The event will be audio recorded.
The event is supported by ourselves and Project Phakama.
