Join Anne Odeke for an evening where all these questions shall be answered, as well as any others you might have. Anne will bring the biscuits; you just bring yourself!
Meet the Facilitator
Anne Odeke is an actor and playwright from Essex.
As actor, Anne trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and, over the course of her career, has performed for the likes of Shakespeare’s Globe, the RSC, and theatres such as The Birmingham Rep, The Watermill, The Royal Lyceum Edinburgh and many more. She is also a presenter on Cbeebies on Playtime Towers.
As a playwright, Anne has written for the likes of Storyhouse Theatre, Hightide, The Almeida, The Mercury Theatre Colchester and BBC Radio 4.
Her play, Princess Essex (in which Anne also played the lead) was performed on the main stage of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and went on to be nominated for Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2025 and Best Performer in a Play. Anne is the latest recipient of Best Playwright from the The Black British Theatre Awards 2025.
