Hello! I’m Amber, and I joined Metal in September 2024. As an events and documentary Photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to work with Metal over the years and attended many of their events. I even did my work experience here when I was 15! I spent 3 years in Southampton studying Photography, followed by an MA in Photojournalism at UAL. My time at Uni really helped to enhance my interests in communities, space, place, and collaborative processes. Before Metal, I was a teacher at a Secondary School, working with young people; running the Duke of Edinburgh Award and running a weekly gardening club. I love meeting new people, working with artists from different mediums, creating work that’s playful and experimental. I like to make and do, so you’ll find me out and about, with pockets bursting of nature’s treasures; always tinkering around with something, reading or pottering about with my pet chickens and cat. I also can’t resist a cheeky chip butty and a pickle!
