Hi, I’m Anita Nayyar, and i’m a freelance social psychologist, producer, and communication strategist. My practice focuses on shifting audience perceptions, giving powerful space to unheard voices & countering hate. Rooted in a multi-faith, multi-ethnic, mixed-class heritage, I bring an intersectional lens to everything I do. Whether through racial justice-informed co-creation, forum theatre, or deliberative research, I support global majority communities to govern their own narratives. Working alongside playwrights, creative agencies, content creators, and civil society organisations, I shape interventions that move audiences from disconnection to solidarity. And I help community based initiatives measure the impact of their work on the ground, and learn and grow. I work with a diverse client base, from community-focussed startups, to theatre companies and larger global insight & advertising agencies. Joining Metal Culture as a trustee feels like a natural extension of my work. It’s a space where art isn’t peripheral – it’s central to how we understand each other, hold complexity, and imagine new futures. I look forward to contributing to its mission of placing artists at the heart of social transformation.
