Metal Liverpool wins Impact Award for Environmental Sustainability

    March 3, 2022 by PRadmin1 Leave a Comment

We did it! Metal Liverpool won the Impact Award for Environmental Sustainability in the Liverpool City Region Culture & Creativity Awards 2021.

In response to the global climate crisis, we established #ShiftLiverpool, a sustainability network for arts organisations in the region, working to reduce carbon emissions and move away from environmentally damaging practices.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Shift Liverpool and who continues to support the work we do through the network. We would also like to thank all the artists who have worked with us on various environmental projects, such as Bill Posters and Robert Del Naja on Eco-Bot.Net, Mike Faulkner, Marek Wolynski and Niloo Sharifi on Nine Earths, Adam Sadiq and Hector Dyer who supported Rivers of the World and artists Love Ssega and Mikhail Karikis who have also supported our sustainable work.

And a massive thank you to everyone who voted for us and recognises the environmental action we have taken as an organisation.

Congratulations to all the winners at last night’s event, to the amazing nominees who have all contributed to impactful work across our region and to Liverpool City Region for hosting such an enjoyable event showcasing just a snapshot of some of the incredible talent here!
