Art Makes Children Powerful

In Summer 2022, Metal Southend programmed an in-school creative learning project for young people and their teachers, shaped by artists and practitioners living and working in South Essex. We called it Art Makes Children Powerful.

The project celebrated creativity in all forms, including hands-on workshops, the investment of new creative equipment for schools, new connections across the art and education ecosystems of South Essex and creative training for local teachers and artists.
