staging
We’re excited to welcome artist Martha Cattell to host an Alternative Process Photography workshop as part of our Future Network programme.
During the workshop we will think about how you can have a more sustainable art practice with a focus on alternative process photography and testing out multiple ways of making camera-less photography. We will think about things from materials through to presentation.
Martha will explore Metal’s garden to look at different ways of interacting with our environments, before testing alternative methods of making camera-less photography, such as cyanotypes, anthotypes, chemigrams, as well as learning about various developers to help in this process.
The workshop will offer a chance to reflect on your art practice through an eco-lens, share your own ideas and have a play with some alternative photography techniques.
No prior experience of photography is needed, just your creativity and an open mind!
Lunch
During lunch there is the opportunity for participants to connect over some light refreshments. To share what you’ve created, talk about your own practice, or just find out what people are up to. Some snacks and refreshments will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own lunch.
If you have any questions or queries, then please feel free to get in touch at sarah@metalculture.com or on 01733 893077
