Come along to Lucky Dip on Wednesday 29 March from 7pm!
Taking place 4 times a year, each with different guest hosts, this programme exists to connect local creatives with each other, celebrate the joy in art, platform cross-disciplinary artists and bring people together here at Chalkwell Hall.
Formerly known as Future Park, Lucky Dip welcomes all creatives to come and meet some new faces, share ideas and to be entertained.
Expect an element of surprise from our guest host and witness the unveiling of our new artist commissioned tombola!
For the first event of this series, we are excited to announce guest host Connor Turansky who has designed an interactive workshop for the evening.
A bit about Connor:
Connor Turansky is an Essex-based visual artist and educator who creates interactive experiences, builds worlds, and designs mechanical contraptions.
With a master’s in photographic arts and years of self-taught exploration into the intersection of technology and art, they combine photographic methodology with various technologies and mediums: mixed reality, paper engineering, electronics and projection mapping. Connor collaborates with community art organisations to develop and deliver creative-making workshops alongside leading the Emerging Media Space at the University of Westminster, which runs a progressive program of tech-arts events and facilities.
As a neurodivergent person who works in arts education, Connor advocates for a critical conversation between accessibility and the arts. They strive to ensure the convergence of technology and art is available and inclusive. Connor has delivered workshops and exhibited his work across the UK. He makes things and shares knowledge to understand the world better. When not working, he enjoys hiking, growing vegetables and looking after his chickens.
