Metal Open Advice Sessions for global majority artists are back!
On Wednesday 14 February, we’re offering free sessions for global majority artists who live and/or work within our local area (South Essex – Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Rochford, Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock). This session will be supported by local artist Mia Jerome along with the Metal team. Sessions will be led by you and what you’d like to discuss, which might include:
– Discussing your creative practice
– Talking through a project idea
– Advice or sign posting to different funding routes or opportunities
– Building relationships with different organisations, voluntary groups, partners or venues
– Budget development or reading draft applications
We’re offering these sessions in person at Chalkwell Hall, as well as the option to discuss your work with us online. There is one session available per artist and the slots are 1 hour long.
Sessions will be open on a first come first served basis. Book your free place here.
We are holding these sessions in response to our open call residencies and conversations with artists, partners and the Metal team. We will be running more Open Advice Sessions for artists on Monday 4 March so stay tuned for the announcement!
